REFUND CREDIT NOTES & TRAVEL CREDITS
USAirtours issues both Refund Credit Notes and Travel Credits, depending on whether we had to cancel a booking or whether the customer did as shown below:
Refund Credit Notes
Where we were not able to provide a booked holiday for Covid-19 reasons, we cancel the booking and issue a Refund Credit Note to the value of the amount that we received. This can be used to book a new USAirtours holiday through the same agency in the future.
These RCNs are issued in accordance with ABTA guidelines and are refundable if unused.
A Travel Credit may be issued to a customer who cancels their booking in one the following ways:
- They choose to cancel their booking under our Flexible Booking terms or,
- We do not receive the booking balance by the due date
Where the customer has cancelled the booking, they forfeit all monies paid to us in accordance with our standard terms and conditions. However, in many cases we may be able to voluntarily issue a Travel Credit for the value of the sum that we received.
Whilst this Travel Credit is not refundable, it may be used towards a new USAirtours holiday booked through same agent, meaning that the customer’s money is not lost, and it will also protect the agent’s commission.
Once a new booking has been made, a new ATOL Certificate is issued that provides full financial protection under the CAA’s ATOL scheme.
